I'm kind of in love with Seripop.

Seripop are having their first solo show in Montreal, opening this Thursday night, and you should definitely go and check it out.

I volunteered some of my time this past week to help them rack prints and cut out a few the HUNDREDS of bricks for the installation, so believe me, these two have EARNED this show. They're both super sweet and cool, and their work never ceases to delight me.

Like you have anything better to do on Thursday anyway.

fuzzy toupée

The above image comes to you courtesy of this post from the craftzine blog (via Aran Brew).

I know nothing about alpacas or their fleece (although a second cousin of mine does run an alpaca farm somewhere in southern Saskatchewan), but this photo is pretty much the best thing I've seen today thus far.

Hooray for le weekend!

shop local!

In honor of St-Jean-Baptiste Day, Angie of Norweigan Wood and Headquarters Boutique put together an article about local etsy sellers. I'm very proud and excited to be a part of this, and included in such a talented group of artists!

If you're interested, the article is here.

A couple of other local lovelies who you should definitely check out:
Baby Burrito
Little Houses
Supayana

Monsters Treasury!

Jeanie Bee and Company was kind enough to include some of my little stuffed dudes in an etsy treasury dedicated to monsters!

She's got some cute monsters of her own - and since I have a thing for the word pants, check out the adorable Trouble in Polka-dot Pants.

little doodles

While I'll admit I'm not the biggest fan of the overwhelming bird craze that has rocked the craft world recently, I'm *such* a huge fan of the illustrations by Kate of Little Doodles. Especially the ones above - too much cute for me to handle on a Tuesday. Birds with hair = awesome.

Check out her etsy shop here.

multi-holed buttons

I adore these multi-holed Polder Sofa buttons from Hella Jongerius (found via the sub-studio design blog).

Design*Sponge recently posted a great tutorial for 9-holed buttons...think I may have to whip some up this weekend.

sometimes I still take pictures...

...when I remember to take my camera with me.

This weekend swooped by me in big ol' blur...where oh where did it go?

I did manage to photograph a few more vintage goodies for the vintage shop, which will be listed this week, and I also managed to miraculously sew up some new pillows for the other shop, so it was *slightly* productive. Watch this space.

It's grey and rainy here today, good thing I love the smell of rain.

Cats!

Ziggy. I don't know who he belongs to.

Chi-panther. He belongs to Emma and is very hard to photograph. I love this cat.

Weekend Recap

I managed to accomplish pretty much everything on my to-do list, which is a small miracle for me. However, of course I managed to not cut the freaking bangs, the thing that in theory would have been the easiest to accomplish. It's a good thing that long, in-your-eyes bangs are in style right now, because that's where mine are headed. I do enjoy lazy fashion.

The big event of the weekend was the opening of my second etsy shop. Because obviously I have too much time on my hands, and etsy wasn't sucking away my life as it was. I was originally hesitant to open a second shop because it feels like a lot to take on as a newbie seller (and perhaps a bit self-indulgent?), but I feel much better now with my vintage schtuff elsewhere. It just wasn't meshing.

So you can check out my vintage finds and my cute greying hair at: www.coucouvintage.etsy.com

And speaking of which, Tina of forrestina vintage featured my estate sale shift dress on her fab blog. To which I say, yay! A new vintage blog to read! I just can't get enough. Check it out!

And thus ends the shameless self-promotion for the day. I promise to get back to reality soon and post pictures of more interesting things, like cats and graffiti.
