still here, somewhere

I feel a desperate need to write something here, if only to eliminate that fantastically summer-y photo from the front page. I feel like it's mocking me while I'm stuck here in the thick of winter, cold and impatiently expecting spring. 

There have been some significant work/life changes as of late, which may or may not account for my long absence in this space.

Things are interesting right now, things are good. Things feel a bit unpredictable, but I'm trying to just go with the flow. 

I hope to return to this space soon-ish with more to share, but for now, please enjoy a drawing of pirate cat, just because.
