I have officially been hiding under a rock.
I have just discovered that Lucienne Day died on January 30th.
I didn't know of Lucienne's work until an instructor pointed out to me - nearly 10 years ago - that my work had a similar style. I borrowed a copy of this book from the library and fell in love with her designs.
I have wanted my own copy of that book for years, and I finally decided to buy a copy early this January, with a Christmas gift certificate.
I am infinitely happy to be able to look at her work every day. She was ahead of her time, and still is my biggest inspiration.
